THE LATE '60S
At those times the first thing a teenager did – after passing his driver's test – was to get a "Muscle Car" and cruise the streets looking for competitors who won't throw in the towel when sprinting from light to light. Dragging was how you crowned the "King of the Hill".
With the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro® SS396 and the Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda of 1970, Carrera introduces two examples of the era's street-scene with performance that is still sensational. The Camaro® Super Sport, equipped with a L78-396-engine, had 375 hp, while the slightly larger Plymouth 'Cuda was fueled by a Hemi power plant producing 425 hp from its 426 cubic-inch powerplant. The only thing missing from these cars are fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview mirror.
In addition to these two cars, the basic set is comprised a high-banked curve, two overpasses, as well as an electronic lap counter.
