"PERFECT ROAD-RUNNING"

"Massively over-powered and respected" – that´s how the translation of the word

"Mopar" reads, actually describing the equipment- and spare parts-range of the Chrysler group. Soon this became a synonym for the muscle-motorized models from Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth. A typical representative of these kinds of cars, which coupled brute force with eye appeal, was the Plymouth Roadrunner, the least expensive version of all musclecars. It was so inexpensive that the floorboard was only covered by a rubber floor mat, but at least it was equipped with a special-effect horn, blowing "beep-beep" for it’s cartoon character namesake.

Not only on the street but also on the racetrack, the Roadrunner proved that it had what it took to be a Mopar. Numerous anecdotes and legends have grown up around its performance and its drivers from its first appearance on stock car tracks until it stopped racing.

This basic set contains two racing models of the Plymouth Roadrunner, the Superbird and a retrofitted Roadrunner, as it took part in Riverside in 1970.

Both cars were fuelled by the respect-inspiring "HEMI"-engine, generating 425 h.p. of 426 cubic-inch.
