"Nassau Speed Week 1956"

When designing the D-Type, Jaguar took a completely new direction in sports car development and found great success! So it was just a matter of time until the first cars found their way across the Atlantic. This car competed in the annual “Nassau Speed Week” in the Bahamas and astonishingly, finished in third place against the stronger, southern European competition.
